Skye - Kilt Rock Staffin
Skye – Kilt Rock Staffin

Stay two nights in the beautiful coastal village of Plockton and 1 night in Fort William, in the shadow of Ben Nevis

For keen photographers this is a ‘must do tour’. Scotland has an amazing variety of landscapes, flora and fauna and incredible weather that can make for the most fabulous photography.

Highlights:

  • The Grampian Mountains
  • Five Sisters of Kintail
  • Eilean Donan castle
  • Isle of Skye
  • The Cuillin Hills
  • The White Sands of Morar
  • Glenfinnan and the “Harry Potter” viaduct
  • Glencoe

This is a tour for those of you who have heard about the dramatic landscapes of Scotland and of the Isle of Skye in particular. By adding an extra day to our very popular three day Skye tour, we think this tour gives you that little bit extra; another day of sightseeing and the ability to travel at a more relaxed pace. This will give you more flexibility: to get off the bus more often; to take in a view, go for a walk with your driver/guide or spend some time photographing an area.

Day 1

Highlights include a short break in the historic village of Dunkeld and the stunning Hermitage forest waterfalls. After lunch in Pitlochry you continue on your way through the Cairngorm National Park, along Loch Laggan. You then climb through Glen Garry and drop down dramatically into Glen Shiel as we make our way to Plockton our base for the next 2 nights.

Day 2

A whole day exploring the highlights of the Isle of Skye. Your guide will use their skill and knowledge of the back roads of Skye to show the best that this island has to offer.

Day 3

Another day on Skye. Today we head south and the Sleat Peninsula before leaving the island by ferry and head to Fort William for the night.

Accommodation

Package prices include accommodation in 3* B&B / Guest House or 3* Hotel, with private facilities and breakfast. By giving you a choice of accommodation it allows you to choose your budget, stay in smaller places and get closer to the local people. This also means you help to sustain the communities you visit in the long term.

*NB On occasions, when villages we stay in have events on, accommodation can be scarce and expensive so we may use other locations for your accommodation on the tour. We will always inform you of this when this is necessary.
