Day 1

Highlights of the day include a visit to the historic village of Dunkeld with its ancient cathedral and riverside walks followed by a lunch stop in Pitlochry with an optional visit to a whisky distillery. You will continue north into the Cairngorm National Park and the native forests of the Rothiemurchus Estate before we reach our final destination of Inverness.

GlencoeDay 2

Your Highland experience continues as you travel the entire length of Loch Ness today.  You will have the opportunity to take a boat trip on the loch with great views of Urquhart Castle or visit the castle ruins themselves. From here it is short drive to Fort Augustus – your lunch stop on Loch Ness. Continuing south past Ben Nevis and Fort William you return to Glasgow through the splendour of Glencoe and the wilds of the Rannoch Moor.

Accommodation

Package prices include accommodation in 3* B&B / Guest House or 3* Hotel, with private facilities and breakfast. By giving you a choice of accommodation it allows you to choose your budget, stay in smaller places and get closer to the local people. This also means you help to sustain the communities you visit in the long term.

*NB On occasions, when villages we stay in have events on, accommodation can be scarce and expensive so we may use other locations for your accommodation on the tour. We will always inform you of this when this is necessary.

Because we believe in time off the bus and give you opportunities to take nature walks we recommend you bring suitable clothing and footwear for your tour. Unless otherwise notified passengers are restricted to one medium sized suitcase/bag (maximum 15 kilos) and one carry-on bag per person.
